Meet Jane

Jane Watson started her career in movement theatre, training at the École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq in Paris and then in Tokyo, where she practiced the Butoh dance method. Thereafter, she founded the internationally-acclaimed theatre company, Watson & Co, for which she directed and performed. She also directed the Jolt theatre company, an integrated company for able-bodied and disabled performers.

Jane qualified as a Feldenkrais practitioner in 1999, having undertaken a four-year training programme that is accredited by the International Training and Accreditation Board. Upon qualifying, Jane set up a practice in Winchester, dividing her time between that and being a senior lecturer in performing arts at Winchester University.

Moving from Winchester to Yavington gave Jane the opportunity to realise her dream of creating a dedicated space for wellbeing: Yavington Studio. The practice has thrived here since 2016.
