Feldenkrais Day Retreat

An enquiry into acceptance and the nature of effort, through the Feldenkrais method and mindfulness.

​

This retreat day offers an embodied exploration into how we meet ourselves in the present moment. Through Feldenkrais lessons, mindfulness practices and by being in nature we will enquire into acceptance as an attentive and compassionate relationship with experience as it is.

​

We will explore habitual patterns of effort, striving, and holding, and discover how awareness can invite greater ease, choice, and responsiveness in both body and mind. Guided Awareness Through Movement lessons will invite you to sense how effort arises in the body, how it can soften, reorganise, or even dissolve when awareness is brought to choice, ease, and support. Mindfulness supports this enquiry by creating space to notice sensations, thoughts, and emotions without the need to change them.

The day includes guided movement, embodied mindfulness, reflection, and rest. Suitable for all bodies and levels of experience, it offers a nourishing opportunity to reconnect with yourself through curiosity, gentleness, and care.
